Kevin Johnson

Kevin Johnson is one of the co-founders of Mac Filmmakers. Kevin worked professionally for 20 years as a graphic artist before crossing over into film producing. The founder of privately owned Ceramic Rooster Productions, Mr. Johnson is currently the Producer for Barry Gifford's "Ball Lightning." Shot in Hi Def 24P, this narrative short is now in the final stages of post-production, all based on a 100% Macintosh workflow. Previously, he served as the Line Producer for "Intentions," a digital feature film, and as the Assistant Director for six episodes of "ANYCO.COM," a web serial. Mr. Johnson likes broccoli. His cats do not.

Jerry Monti

Jerry Monti is one of the co-founders of Mac Filmmakers. Jerry was also was one of the original founders of Mac DBUG in Seattle, Washington and served on the Board of Directors and various special committees for many years. Jerry is a seasoned entrepreneur and successful senior executive. Mr. Monti’s career includes 16 years as a Founder, CEO and VP of Program Development, in rapid growth, high-tech companies. Mr. Monti founded one of the first desktop-publishing service bureaus in the USA, established one of the first Multimedia Certificate programs, developed custom training software, won two major awards for consumer CD-ROM projects for Multicom in association with Better Homes and Gardens, and served as Executive Producer at AOL. Mr. Monti founded and served as VP of Product Development for VC-Funded ShowMeTV, a dot com focused on delivering niche market video over the Internet. Mr. Monti holds a BA in Journalism from California State University, Northridge and an M.Ed. with honors from The University of the Philippines. Currently Jerry is a member of the Apple Solution Experts Program, a member of the Digital Video Professionals Association and holds an executive VP position in yet another video startup.

Fred Balin

Fred Balin is one of the co-founders of Mac Filmmakers. Fred is Principal of MacResolutions of Palo Alto. His company supports Macintosh-using creative professionals. Fred is a member of the Apple Solutions Experts program. Within that capacity he presents seminars on Apple's video editing and DVD authoring solutions. He is also an Apple certified DV technician, and in his spare time serves as President of the Stanford/Palo Alto Macintosh Users Group.

Mark Calice

Mark Calice is one of the co-founders of Mac Filmmakers. Mark has worked in the professional audio/video industry for over 25 years. As chief engineer of Detroit's Sound Suite Recording Studios, he earned an Ampex Golden Reel Award for Bob Seger's double platinum "Strangers In Town" album and a Grammy nomination for Rance Allen’s “I Feel Like Going On.” He also recorded such legendary artists as The Spinners, The Romantics, Michael Henderson, Millie Jackson and Narada Michael Walden among others. After relocating to the “left” coast, Mark landed a position with Otari Corp. and served in successive roles as technical training manager, product specialist and product marketing manager for their first digital audio products, while creating point-of-sale videos for their products along the way. Later, as product marketing manager for Videonics, he designed their successful Edit Suite A/B Roll Edit Controller and after that, served as webmaster and technical writing specialist for Euphonix. Mark is currently owner of Ardenwood Sound & DVD, an offshoot of running his own independent jazz record label for a few years. Ardenwood provides album production, CD/ECD premastering, HD & 5.1 audio, video editing, and DVD authoring services. Mr. Calice holds a BA in Television & Radio Production/Communication Arts from Michigan State University and is a voting member of NARAS (National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences.)

Enza Sebastiani

Enza Sebastiani is the founder of 1000 Hearts, a Creative Artists Network. A talented and energetic artist, born and raised in Rome, Italy, she spent the past 11 years between San Francisco and Los Angeles pursuing her dream. Her passion for storytelling drove her to write, direct and edit beautiful short movies, some of them hosted on her website. She was called "the one woman studio" by Apple co-workers and executives, as she produced videos for Apple CEO's keynotes and many other Apple events worldwide.


Mary A.C. FALLON

Mary AC Fallon

Mary A. C. Fallon is associate producer of a documentary film in progress called Wacko (working title), which critiques the media's stigmatation of people with mental illness. Her experience in film and video includes co-producing a half-hour nationally-aired science and technology news program for WGBH-TV, the Boston public TV station; and writing, producing, and directing videos about learning research for Apple Computer, Inc.

Mary has 28 years of experience in public relations, speechwriting, marketing communications, employee and customer communications, and news reporting and editing. She has led domestic and international corporate communications and marketing activities at several of Silicon Valley's highest profile companies, including Palm, Hewlett-Packard and Apple Computer. During the dot.com boom, she was vice president of marketing for GoCampus.

She graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Bridgeport, and pursued reporting fellowships at the University of Missouri and WGBH-TV. When digital convergence was first news, she helped start a technology analysis publication called Technology & Media. Mary began her career as a reporter and editor at daily newspapers, including The San Jose Mercury News; the Worcester (MA.) Telegram; the Woonsocket (RI) Call; and The North San Antonio (TX) Times; and freelanced for, among others, National Public Radio and Silicon Valley Business Ink.

She has volunteered as a court-designated child advocate for the past 11 years.

 

Shannon NEWTON | shannon@thenickeltour.com

Shannon Newton

Shannon is the co-founder of The Nickel Tour (www.thenickeltour.com), an independent production company. Shannon is a former US Army communications officer who left the Army to join Cisco Systems as an R&D program manager as well as strategic planning and operations for content distribution technology. This experience offered insight into the direction the film industry and digital production is heading. For Shannon, this was enough to chase his true passion of producing (despite knowing little to nothing about it). Shannon holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
